This notification is to inform you
Fr Joseph Quinn, a priest of the
Archdiocese of Armagh, is subject to a decree of the Cardinal Archbishop
of Armagh, which states that he is not to present himself in public or
in private in the role of a priest, is not to wear clerical attire and
is to desist from being in the company of young females in any guise
whatsoever.
Can we also remind you of this notice which was sent out previously:
Archbishop Diarmuid Martin wishes to make it known that
Clive Lynn, also known as Cathal O’ Lionn, formerly a priest of the
Archdiocese of Santa Fe USA, was found guilty and dismissed from the
clerical state on the 12th November, 2004 by Pope John Paul II, as a
penalty for the sexual abuse of minors. He is forbidden to present
himself as a priest, wear clerical attire or perform acts of ministry
that are reserved to the sacred priesthood. The faithful are to be
alerted in particular that Mr. Lynn or O’Lionn is not a priest in good
standing and is consequently prohibited from celebrating the Eucharist
or performing any priestly ministry.
